Because of recent unrest the following statement is being issued regarding the group known as the “Akashans”. The Akashans is an organization of roughly a dozen members that proposes that they are real immortal vampires and expound claims of divine powers. Their definition of “vampire” is not a traditional one. They claim to have gained their power through necromancy, Voodoo and other sources. Their leader states that they are communicating from another planet to members.
The Aquarian Community position on this group is that the Akashans are, in fact, a personality cult surrounding its leader. Members of groups outside their own organization are subject to extreme harassment and general bile for any dissent. The “foundation” for their “power” is based off two diametrically opposed concepts. Necromancy is a form of divination involving contacting discarnate people and Voodoo is a separate religion that is a mix of African shamanism and Catholicism.
Normally, the Aquarian Community would ignore such a group, but the actions of a particular member, who has recently been expelled from the Community, instigated a flame war and necessitated an official response from the Community Staff. The Aquarian Community recommends that this organization be avoided because of its destructive and autocratic practices.
