Ishtar Ritual

 

Ishtar is another important time for us, the energies available at this point are immense, the sunshine flooding the surroundings with energy that the new plants gorge themselves on to the point the energies leak out filling the air so it is a fantastic time for meditation, dedication and many other things.

Performing the Ritual

This ritual is very similar to the Semhain one, only performed during the day for different purposes.

Now this ritual can have many variations depending on what personal touch you feel like adding, it is good to start with the Aquarian Standard Ritual and then make your offerings, in addition writing something personal to the Gods and Astaroth as this is her day, to burn is a good addition. I myself have bought a new silver chalice for the occasion, complete with a decorated stem, remember to take some extra time to meditate on the energies around at this time, it may be cold and with the April showers can be somewhat inconvenient to get outside but the energy only gets this concentrated for a short time each year, if you can, do this ritual during the day in the sunlight for extra effect
