Colour and Aura

What is colour? Like everything else in existence, colour is energy. Energy in its most basic form. In our physical world, we understand colour as being the visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum.

The electromagnetic spectrum is just a grouping of measured frequencies and wavelengths of energy, that we have given names to, and of these, our physical eyes are only able to detect colours red to violet. Though, we are able to feel infra-red and microwave energy as heat on our skin. In the case of the colours themselves: red has the lowest frequency and the least energetic power, but does have the longest wavelength. Violet has the highest frequency and the most energetic power, but has the shortest wavelength. This is what we know from science.

We are able to physically see colour because of receptors within our eyes that become excited when receiving energies at specific frequencies and wavelengths, and our brains interpret these as the colours that we currently know.

It has long been proven that colour has an effect on our mood and on our overall health. Those who suffer from Seasonal Adjustment Disorder are reliant on receiving light from the sun to retain good mental health and wellbeing. Sunlight is a combination of all the visible spectral colours -- red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. During winter, sufferers of SAD receive less of the sun's light, and feel very depressed. By purchasing "Sun Boxes", they are able to produce these colours for themselves artificially and replenish the colours that their bodies are crying out for. It is evident, in this case, that links exist between health and colour. It can also be seen that colours can alter our emotions.

Thoughts and emotions are energy, as well. These manifest in our spiritual auras as different colours. In this way, our auras become a real-time indication of our thoughts, personality traits, emotions, age, wisdom and accumulated power. With practice and understanding, we are able to look at and "read" other beings' auras by their colour and better understand their intentions and status.

Enki has been meditating and working with energy far longer than the other Gods and Goddesses of Duat, so they mostly follow his guidance when it comes to such things. Enki has always taught them to use the electric blue in their meditations because he has found it to be the most beneficial of all the colours, and the most healthy and natural. A great many Gods and Goddesses have electric blue auras now, but some have tints of other colours in their auras, too. These will generally indicate  personal traits, attitudes and so on.

What is Aura?

To understand what an aura is, we first have to understand why we perceive astral energy the way that we do.

The third-eye works in a similar way to our physical eyes. Except, instead of acting as a lens to focus physical light onto our retinas, it focuses astral energy onto our pineal gland. This gland then converts the astral energy into electrical signals our brain can understand. Much in the same way as any of our other sensory systems do. What our brain "sees" then depends upon our experiences in the this life, and what how we have experienced energy in our past lives.

As humans, we place an enormous amount of importance upon colour. It alerts us to danger. It informs us that it is safe for us to perform an action. As a chemist, it indicates whether a solution is alkaline or acidic. As an electrician, it indicates that a circuit is on or off. There are many others ways we use colours — these are only a handful. The use of colour is also prevalent in the animal, reptilian and insect kingdoms. Needless to say it serves a very important purpose in the physical world. Our whole perception is based around the contrast between colours. This is how our brain "sees". And, more importantly, one of the reasons our brain perceives astral energy in colour.

During the day, our physical eyes perceive objects around us because there is a variance in how these objects absorb and reflect the colours that are within the sun's light. These colours being: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. In other words, colours we see are those which have been reflected back to us. We then ask ourselves: "How does this relate to astral energy?" Well, it is because of the state in which the energy is when we "see" it and what is happening to it, at the time. Our brain perceives these different states as colours and form. This is a by-product of what it has learnt to do through evolution of colour perception.

The most important thing to understand when you gain astral sight is that, whether you see red, orange, green, blue, violet, white, black or any other colour in-between, they are all made of the exact same substance — astral energy. For example, red is no different to violet, it is only that they are astral energy in different states. These states can be brought about by many, many things. To keep this essay as concise as possible, I will not mention them all here, but I will say that both emotion and thought affects astral energy, and so does energy meditation, that is directing energy towards a purpose.

If we can understand how our emotions and thought-patterns create different colours and what these colours mean, we can detect the intention and/or health state of those beings we interact with and even our ourselves just by viewing an aura. Perhaps more importantly than that, we can also practice "feeling" different colours/energy to detect emotions and/or thought-patterns and/or energy flow. This is called "Clairsignation".

Red
When we see red energy, it is energy in a highly-agitated, unstable state. Chaotic. It is energy being constantly and violently changed around. It is energy colliding with other energy in the process. Red can be created by both negative and positive thoughts and emotions.

In a person's aura: Strong masculinity, anger, hatred, jealousy, intense love or passion, euphoria, intense anxiety, absolute panic.

Orange
When we see orange energy, it is energy, again, in an agitated state, but not unstable or harmful like red. It denotes that there is still a lot of energy being changed around in the vicinity, but it is being done in a much more controlled way. Orange can be created by both negative or positive thoughts and emotions.

In a person's aura: Slight worry, confusion, feeling annoyed, moments of high mental activity.

Yellow
When we see yellow energy, it is energy that is stable, yet constantly moving. It is hyperactive and is being directed toward a purpose. Though, it is less agitated than orange and is more positive. Yellow tends to be created by positive thoughts and emotions.

In a person's aura: Excitement, joy, being very busy and happy with yourself or your actions, kindness, selfless generosity, use of a lot of energy.

Green
When we see green energy, it is energy which is serene like blue, but has built up into one area and become a little concentrated and stagnant. Green tends to be created by positive thoughts and emotions.

In a person's aura: Cheerful, calm, active mind, strong-willed, confidence.

Blue
When we see blue energy it is energy at equilibrium. It is neutral. It is the colour of healthy energy moving naturally. It is, by nature, very serene and beneficial to everything it comes into contact with. In this state, it is energy at its most useful. Blue is created by purely positive thoughts and emotions.

In a person's aura: Peace, understanding, good use of astral energy, normal energy flow in the body, health, contentment, happiness, humble confidence.

Purple
When we see purple energy, it is a heavily-compressed pocket of stagnant,  unpure, negative energy. It is not serene like green and is not mixed-up and moving around like brown. Purple tends to be created by negative thoughts and actions.

In a person's aura: Pent-up anger or frustration that is not being released properly, dread, depression, strong fear.

Brown
When we see brown energy, it is not a separate colour or energy, but rather a chaotic mixture of different energies. The colour comes from the mixture and the fact that it is actually moving. If you look above, you will find mixing two of any colour will make brown. Brown can be created by both positive and negative thoughts and emotions.

In a person's aura: Misuse of energy in meditation or energy work. mental illness, drug abuse, alcoholism.

White
When we see white energy, it is a pocket of energy which has become so concentrated in one spot that it is actually radiating energy outward in all directions, like a radioactive source throws out alpha, beta and gamma rays. It appears white because of this and can be quite detrimental to be around. White can be created by both positive and negative thoughts and emotions.

In a person's aura: Angelic energy, misuse of energy in meditation and energy work, physical injury or illness, spiritual attack.

Black

When we see black energy, it is an area where energy is being totally absorbed, and so it appears to us as black. Black can be created by both positive and negative thoughts and emotions.

In a person's aura: Misuse of energy in meditation and energy work, physical injury or illness, spiritual attack.

Pink
When we see pink energy, it is more of a calmer, less volatile and feminine version of red energy. It is constantly moving.

In a person's aura: Strong femininity, confidence, Strong-willed, argumentative, annoyed, high sexuality, love, affection, strong wishes to nurture.
