21 December 2012: What It Really Means

   Ever since the great surge of New Age philosophies and the re-emergence of Neopaganism, which occurred in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, there has been much speculation as to the exact events that would occur on the winter solstice of 2012. This date coincides with the last day of the Mayan calendar and in the Mayan chronometric scale, represents the end of the Fifth Age.
   The current pop culture association with this date is an interpretation of doomsday. Many New Age proponents believe that some major cataclysm will occur on this day. The theories have ranged from global thermonuclear war to ecological disaster resulting from the inversion of Earth’s magnetic field (a.k.a. Pole Shift) and the infamous (and clichéd) meteor strike. Regardless of the supposed event, humanity dies, supposedly. Most of these theories are expounded by people ranging from con artists and crackpots to religious authorities attempting to play mankind’s fears.
   What really is so important about 21 December 2012? This date marks the moment where the Solar System crosses the Galactic Equator. This event occurs twice every 225~250 million years. Two such crossing represents a Galactic Year. The timing of the Mayan Calendar would suggest that this current crossing represents the actual New Year mark and not the halfway point in the cycle. To put the extreme rarity of this event into proper perspective, the last two times this event occurred, the dinosaurs were the dominant creatures on the planet. This crossing is no more mystical or mysterious than our solstices, which are related events.
   Another event, which is simultaneously occurring with this equatorial crossing, is the transition of periods in the precession of the equinoxes. The precession of the equinoxes is a cycle of Earth wobbling on its axis 360 degrees. The precession of the signs in the Zodiac is the interpretation of this event. This cycle takes approximately 25,750~26,000 years to complete and is known as the Platonic Year. It is the Platonic Year that the Mayan calendar documents. While the natural sciences condemn mystical and occult references, the Ages represented by the Zodiac signs that this cycle has passed through are represented well, giving credence to the theory of the Zodiac Ages. When an age transitions into another, the paradigms of the old age inevitably collapse in lieu of the new forms that occur within the latest age. The current transition is from the sign of Pisces to the Sign of Aquarius. This means that Piscean paradigms are usurped for Aquarian forms. The greatest Piscean paradigm is the existence and dominance of Christianity and Islam. The greatest example of the Aquarian paradigm is science. Science has been working to overthrow these religions for centuries and after the transition, the equilibrium point will be reached where the Piscean archetypes will be on a downward slope until they are destroyed.
   How does this relate to the Galactic New Year? The energy of the galactic core realigns everything that passes within the equator. Any energy forms that are not conductive of the galactic ecosystem will be neutralized and replaced with harmonious energy forms. The effects of the age transition in the Platonic Year will likewise be amplified. This means that the switch from Piscean to Aquarian thought forms will be dramatic and drastic due to the energy from the galactic core.
   If any cataclysm does happen as a result of this event, it will be caused by man. The possibilities lie primarily in the realm of mass hysteria and mass insanity. The nature of the Abrahmic religions make them prime candidates to receive the worst of this paradigm shift as the concepts of Christianity and Islam cannot exist in an Aquarian world. Judaism, which began in The Age of Taurus, will also fare poorly during The Aquarian Age. These mindsets are simply not compatible with the archetypical foundations of the incoming era. Christians in particular are attempting to astrally turn this date into a doomsday in order to fulfil the failed prophecies in The Revelations. This is complicated by the fact that Christianity is the most dominant religion on the planet with a sickening number of 3 billion practitioners. While there will be ramifications due to their massive influence on the universal subconscious of humanity, their fears will only affect them as their way of life cannot exist in an Aquarian world.
   21 December 2012 is simply our calendar date for a naturally occurring event in the galaxy. The reason the Old Gods are so concerned with this is twofold. The first reason is Humanity has never been through this event. The Old Gods are curious to see how humanity reacts to the crossing. The second reason is that even with the massive lifespan of the Gods, this event occurs rarely by their conceptions of time. They are just as concerned and curious as to the effects of the crossing as we are. Any fears should simply be put aside as nonsense. Humanity should just sit back and ride it out. The nature of the energies that are coming in will replace all of the mess the Piscean Age has created. Aquarians will find this new world and new age much more agreeable than what is currently tolerated.
