The New Hate Crime Bill and Christianity I was watching the news one day before work, and saw that a new Hate Crime Bill was looking to be passed which would give greater empowerment and funding to prosecute hate crimes. The bill, which was already pushed through the House of Representatives, is stating the that current federal laws against hate crimes are inadequate. A hate crime is defined as an offense wilfully causing injury to any person. This new bill would give greater protection to homosexuals and transgender individuals. But, here's the catch, priests and preachers are very concerned about this bill. Wonder why that would be? Preachers and priests are concerned that it would promote censorship on the pulpit. This bill would not causing any interference as far as freedom of speech and 1st Amendment rights, but those on the pulpit are worried that a parishioner may take biblical views against homosexuals and transgender very seriously and go out and commit a crime against these individuals, and the consequence may come back to them. Those on the pulpits are scared, that preaching the word of god regarding homosexuals, may insight others to commit crimes. And they should be. If they aren't doing anything wrong, why would they be scared to be charged with a hate crime? I mean after all, this is the 'word of god', isn't it? This is just another wonderful, loving tale of god and Christianity. This is just another nail in their coffin. It is said that the bible is the spoken word of god through Jesus and his friends. What does this tell us about god? It tells us that he is a selective, racist, hate instilling, censorship promoting, controlling tyrant!! He causes division among his 'children'. "I like these people, but not these people. I favour this, but wish it a sin which will be dealt with by punishment for that" god says. But, then again, the bible says that god loves us all, right? So why would those on the pulpit be so worrisome? Because promoting this 'sin' to others is not too far from promoting a hatred towards homosexuals and transgender. Here's another point. Christianity is said to promote love, love of all things, unconditionally, to everyone. If someone hits you, offer the other cheek. Open your doors and hearts to everyone. Forgive all! So, why then would those on the pulpit be so worried? Because they know what a hateful thing it is. They know that regardless of it being biblical, it is still a divide. They know that regardless of what they teach, it will instil anger towards those, and may cause someone to commit a crime against those, in the name of god of course. This is just more evidence of what/who god really is, what he teaches his children, and how his children really are. So if those on the pulpit aren't to blame, who's next in line? Well, god of course. Look at all the violence he promotes in this world. Look at how he suppresses human nature and teaches his children to point fingers rather than look within themselves and acknowledge their own hypocrisy. Imagine! All of the wars, millions of deaths, famine, disease that's caused due to religion and god, if he could be put on trial today for these things, he'd be considered worse than any Saddam Hussein or any other tyrant could ever be. How can you love everyone and teach humanity this, then separate according to who you like, have those on the pulpit relay this message knowing that it may cause violent crimes towards others? What a wonderful god this is. In my opinion, if hate crimes are committed in the name of god, I'd see where this person attends, and I would issue warrants for those promoting this. If only we could prosecute god. I am not homosexual myself, but applaud those that are willing to free themselves, and open themselves, and to live life the way of their choosing despite religious opposition by preachers and a church that condemns this, yet turns around and molests little boys, destroying their lives forever. What a small, destructive box god and the 'church' created for humanity. Stay strong, never give up hope. These walls are falling and the foundations of the church are shattering. And the hypocrites of god and his criminals will come to an end soon!
